Take along

In the School add-on you note for each lesson what has to come along – and one-off things for a particular day. From this, Hüsli makes a checklist to tick off every day and reminds you the evening before of everything that isn’t packed yet.

How it works

1. Open School, choose the child and tap a lesson in the Timetable, e.g. PE.
2. Under Take along, tap what it needs: PE bag, Swimming things, Snack, Recorder, Craft apron or Homework.
3. Type anything else in the field (e.g. “Reading book”) and tap Add. Then Save.
4. For an exception, tap One-off under Take along tomorrow, choose the child and Date and write under What, e.g. “Trip – rain jacket”.
5. Tap Save.
6. In the evening, tap in the checklist what is in the bag. When everything is tapped, it says “All packed ✓”.

Settings

Under Set up school › Take along you switch the Reminder the evening before on or off and choose the time (default 18:00).

Good to know

• The checklist is on Today, on the child’s page and in wall mode: from 2 pm for tomorrow, in the morning before 9 am for today. Children only see their own.
• The reminder “Take along tomorrow: …” goes to the parents and to a child with their own device – only with what isn’t packed yet. The topic is called School things under Settings › Notifications.
• Things from the timetable don’t come during the school holidays, on public holidays or on days without lessons. One-off things always come on their date.
• Children and the wall tablet can tick off “packed”. Parents can enter what has to come along.
• Lessons with something to take along have a 🎒 in the timetable.
