Privacy policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026. This policy covers the website huesli.app, the contact form, applications for the Hüsli beta and paying for Hüsli Pro. We will publish a separate, detailed policy for the Hüsli app before it launches.
Who is responsible?
Hüsli, Zürich, Switzerland – hello@huesli.app
What data we process
Beta application: When you send the form, we store your name, email address, postal address, details about your household (number of adults, children and their ages), your devices, your interests, your message, an optional introduction video, the chosen language and the time. The video is never published, is only viewed for the beta selection and is deleted after the selection. To prevent abuse we also store an irreversible hash of your IP address, not the address itself.
Visiting the website: Our hosting provider logs technical access data (e.g. IP address, time, page requested, browser) to keep the service running and secure. These logs are deleted after a short time.
Contact form: When you write to us, we store your name, email address, message, language, the page and the time in order to reply.
Cookies: The only necessary cookie stores your cookie choice (12 months); your language choice stays locally in your browser. We log your choice with a random ID as proof (2 years). You can change it any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Google Analytics (only with consent): If you allow “Statistics”, we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Ltd. to see which pages are read. Google may transfer data to the USA. We don’t use advertising features or Google signals. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. The Hüsli app itself doesn’t use Google Analytics.
Visit notice: So that we notice visitors during the beta, the website sends our team a short message via Telegram at most once an hour: page, referring page, browser, language and time – without the IP address. Only if you allowed “Statistics” do we add the approximate place (city, country), which we derive from the IP address via ip-api.com.
Our own visit statistics: For the same details (page, referring page, browser, device type, language, time) we keep our own statistics on our server in Switzerland – without cookies and without the IP address. To count visitors per day we use an anonymous ID that changes every day, so nobody can be recognised across days. We store the approximate place only if you allowed “Statistics”. Entries are deleted after 13 months.
Paying for Hüsli Pro
You buy Hüsli Pro through Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy LLC), our payment partner. Lemon Squeezy is the seller (merchant of record) and processes the payment, the invoice and any taxes under its own responsibility, according to its privacy policy. Payment methods: credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal.
No card data with us: You enter your card number, expiry date, security code (CVC) and PayPal login directly with Lemon Squeezy or its payment providers. Hüsli never sees or stores them – not even the last digits. From Lemon Squeezy we only receive what we need for the subscription: which Hüsli it belongs to, the email address, the plan (monthly or yearly), its status and period, and the link to your invoices. We keep these details as long as the law requires for accounting records.
Why
We use your details only to select beta families, contact you by email, send founding families information material and a welcome package by post, and improve Hüsli with your feedback. We don’t sell data or pass it on to third parties – except to the services named above and only as described.
Where the data is stored
The website and database are run by a Swiss hosting provider in a data centre in Switzerland. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies.
How long
We delete your application once it is no longer needed, at the latest 24 months after the end of the beta – or immediately if you ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted at any time. Write to hello@huesli.app. You also have the right to complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
