Turn on notifications
Reminders and news as push notifications on your phone – turn them on per device, choose topics per person.
With notifications, Hüsli gets in touch on its own: in the morning with the overview, before an appointment, when a parcel is coming. You turn them on on each device separately.
How it works
- Open Settings › Notifications (profile picture top right).
- Under On this device, tap Turn on.
- Allow notifications when your phone asks.
- Tap Send test – a test notification arrives after a few seconds.
- Under Topics, turn off what you don’t need.
Topics
- Good-morning summary – use at 07:00 to set the time (applies to the whole family).
- Reminders for appointments & tasks
- For parents: When the other parent adds an appointment and Mail to Hüsli: every filed mail.
- Depending on add-ons: Parcels & deliveries, House & waste, School things, Challenge, Screen time used up and Activity: “Let the family know” and what’s on today.
Why the iPhone needs the Home Screen app
On iPhone and iPad, Apple only allows notifications for web apps that are on the Home Screen – it doesn’t work in a normal Safari tab. So first add Hüsli in Safari via Share › Add to Home Screen, open it from there and then turn on notifications. How to do that is explained in App on your phone. On Android and on a computer it works directly in the browser.
Good to know
- Topics apply per person. On a family device, first choose a person under Settings › Device & wall mode at Who uses it?.
- With the activity, parents set How much do you want to hear about?: Everything, What concerns me or Quiet – and under Follow children, which children’s chores and stars they hear about.
- If nothing arrives, see No reminders?.
