School

The School add-on keeps each child’s timetable and the school holidays. The lessons appear in the calendar by themselves every week – except during the holidays. If one of you teaches, you get your own timetable too. School is Free.

Switch it on

1. Tap your profile picture top right and open Settings › Add-ons.
2. Switch on School.
3. Tap School and then Set up school.
4. For each child, choose where they are: Daycare / at home, Kindergarten, Primary school, Secondary school, Gymnasium / apprenticeship or Not in school, and enter the school.
5. Does one of you teach? Switch on teaches for that person.
6. Tap Save.

How it works

1. Open School and choose the child at the top, e.g. Mila.
2. Under Timetable, tap Photo of the timetable and choose a photo or a screenshot.
3. Check the lessons found (day, from, until, subject, room) and tap Take all.
4. Add single lessons with Lesson: subject, Days (several possible), From, Until, Room – then Save.
5. If holidays are missing, tap Holidays under School holidays, choose e.g. Autumn holidays and the first and last day of the holidays.

Settings

Under Set up school (cog top right on the School page, or Settings › Add-ons › School):

• Show in family calendar: As a school day, Every lesson or Don’t show.
• Term from and Until: outside this period there are no lessons.
• Take along: the Reminder the evening before, see Take along.

Good to know

• Your town’s school holidays come automatically when your home town is entered under Settings › Family & people. Hüsli leaves holidays alone that you change or delete by hand.
• Children at daycare or at home don’t have a timetable yet. Their day with daycare, Grandma & co. is under Daycare & childcare.
• Without your own setting, Hüsli estimates the school level from the child’s birthday.
• Only parents can import the timetable. Photos are only read and not saved.
