Roles – who can do what

Every person in your Hüsli has a role. It decides what someone sees and can change.

• Owner: whoever set up the Hüsli. Can do everything parents can, and is the only one who can manage the subscription, delete the household and hand over ownership.
• Parent: sees and edits everything, invites people, turns on add-ons, connects calendars and changes the family’s settings.
• Family (for example grandparents): sees their own appointments in full and everyone else’s only as “busy”, plus the care plan, holidays, birthdays and meal plan. Changes nothing.
• Guest (for example a babysitter): sees the same as family and can help with the lists. Access ends after 14 days.
• Child: their own child view, without an email address. Sees the family calendar, tasks, chores and stars, can tick things off, write on lists and redeem rewards. Can’t add appointments or change settings.
• Wall tablet: shows wall mode, with no account and no settings. Can tick off tasks, shopping and what’s packed for school.

How it works

1. Open Settings › Family & people.
2. Tap the person, for example Sandra.
3. Under Access, tap Role.
4. Choose the new role.

Good to know

• Health, contracts and budget are only seen by the owner and parents – never by children, wall tablets, grandparents or guests.
• Only another parent can change your own role. The owner’s role can’t be changed: on another parent’s page, the owner can use Make owner too to make someone an additional owner, or Hand over ownership to pass it on.
• Anyone who joined with their own email address can’t become a child. Parent, family and guest always need an email sign-in.
• Family, guest and wall tablet are part of Hüsli Pro. During the beta everything is free.
