Tablet on the wall
An old tablet in the hallway shows everyone the time, weather, appointments and open tasks – no account needed.
In wall mode, a tablet becomes the family screen: a big clock, the weather and the next appointments as notifications. The tablet doesn't need an email address – you connect it with a QR code.
How it works
- On your phone, open Settings › Family & people.
- Tap Connect a wall tablet.
- Tap Create invitation. A QR code and a code appear.
- On the tablet, open the camera and scan the QR code – or open huesli.app/app, tap I have an invite code and enter the code.
- On the tablet, tap Connect this device.
- From now on, the tablet shows wall mode. It's best to keep it plugged into the charger.
Settings
Under Settings › Device & wall mode:
- Night rest: during this time (by default 22:00–06:00), the tablet only shows a dimmed clock.
- Photo changes every: with the Photos add-on, your family photos run in the background.
- Wall mode automatically: a device switches to wall mode by itself after 2, 5 or 10 minutes without being touched.
Good to know
- The wall tablet sees the whole family's day and can tick off tasks, shopping and packed items. It never shows health or money.
- Wall mode is available on any other device too: profile picture at the top right › Start wall mode. A tap brings you back to Hüsli.
- Night rest and photo changes apply to all wall tablets. Wall mode automatically only applies to the device you set it on.
- To sign out a wall tablet, go to its page under Settings › Family & people.
- Wall mode is part of Hüsli Pro. During the beta everything is free.
