Add your children
Children join with their own phone or tablet via QR code – or simply appear in the calendar.
Every child is a person in your Hüsli: with a colour, appointments, chores and stars. They don't need their own device for this. If your child has one, you connect it with a QR code – no email address and no password.
How it works
- Open Settings › Family & people.
- Tap Add a person, enter the name, for example Noah, and choose the role Child under Who is it?.
- Without their own device, tap Add without access (calendar only) – done.
- With their own device, tap Show QR code.
- Noah opens the camera on his phone or tablet and scans the QR code – or enters the code on huesli.app/app under I have an invite code.
- On Noah's device, tap Connect this device.
Good to know
- If the child is already in the list, open their page and tap Set up access under Access.
- On their own device, a child sees the kids' view: Today, Calendar, Tasks with chores and stars, Lists and some add-ons. They can tick things off and redeem rewards, but can't create appointments or change settings.
- Parents' notes, parcels, health and money stay hidden on the child's device.
- The QR code must be scanned on the child's device. If the browser there is already signed in with an adult account, it won't work.
- To sign out a connected device, go to the child's page and tap Sign out under Access. Without their own device, you can lock your own phone with the child lock.
