Connect an Outlook or Hotmail calendar

Publish your Outlook.com or Hotmail calendar and paste the ICS link into Hüsli.

Hüsli brings in a calendar from Outlook.com, Hotmail or Live through a link. To do this, you publish the calendar once in Outlook on the web and copy the ICS link.

How it works

  1. On a computer, open Outlook on the web and go to Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars (in Hüsli, Open directly takes you straight there).
  2. Under “Publish a calendar”, choose your calendar and “Can view all details”.
  3. Click “Publish”.
  4. Copy the ICS link – not the HTML link.
  5. In Hüsli, open Settings › Calendars & mail, tap + calendar and then Outlook / Hotmail.
  6. Paste the link into the Calendar link field and wait until Found: … appointments appears.
  7. Tap Import, choose the people under Whose calendar is this? and tap Done.

Good to know

  • Outlook shows two links. The right one ends in .ics. If you paste the HTML link, Hüsli reports That’s not a calendar link – then use the ICS link just below it.
  • With a work account (Microsoft 365), it works the same way at outlook.office.com. Some companies have blocked publishing.
  • There's no direct connection for Outlook like there is for Google. Hüsli fetches changes through the link every few hours.
  • Anyone who has the published link can see your appointments. Only give it to Hüsli.
