Google Calendar by link
Copy the secret iCal address from the Google Calendar settings and paste it into Hüsli.
Instead of Connect with Google, you can also connect your Google Calendar with its secret address. You'll find this address in the Google Calendar settings – easiest on a computer.
How it works
- On a computer, open the Google Calendar settings (in Hüsli, Open directly takes you straight there).
- On the left, under “Settings for my calendars”, click your calendar.
- Scroll down to “Integrate calendar”.
- Next to “Secret address in iCal format”, click the copy icon.
- In Hüsli, open Settings › Calendars & mail, tap + calendar, then Google (Gmail) and Rather connect with a link.
- Paste the link into the Calendar link field and wait until Found: … appointments appears.
- Tap Import, choose the people under Whose calendar is this? and tap Done.
Good to know
- Use the “Secret address in iCal format” – it contains “private-”. The public address only shows appointments you've made public; Hüsli then warns you with That’s the public address.
- On a phone, this setting is only available in the browser's desktop view, not in the Google app.
- The secret address is secret: anyone who has it can see your appointments. Only give it to Hüsli.
- By link, Hüsli fetches changes every few hours. Under Settings › Calendars & mail, the Google link shows Switch to a direct connection: up to date faster and without a secret link, the appointments stay.
