Duplicate appointments

If the same appointment is in two connected calendars, Hüsli shows it only once – with all the people.

An appointment is often in several calendars: Sabrina has “Holiday Namibia” in iCloud, Marc has the same appointment in Google. Hüsli recognises this and shows the appointment only once – with Sabrina and Marc.

How it works

  1. Connect both calendars as usual – see Connect a calendar.
  2. For each calendar, set the right person under Belongs to.
  3. That's all: Hüsli merges identical appointments automatically, including ones that were already duplicated before.

How Hüsli recognises the same appointment

  • It has the same ID in both calendars – for example because both people accepted the same invitation.
  • Or it has the same title, the same start and the same end. Upper and lower case, spaces, punctuation and emojis don't count.

Good to know

  • Title, place and note come from the calendar in which Hüsli found the appointment first. The people are added from all calendars.
  • If you disconnect one of the calendars, the appointment stays with the people from the other calendar. It only disappears when no connected calendar has it any more.
  • A Google calendar that you've connected both by link and directly doesn't appear twice either.
  • Hüsli doesn't merge appointments you added in Hüsli yourself with imported ones. If the title or time differs even slightly, two appointments appear.
