Screen time
Your agreement for each child – daily budget, breaks and extra minutes for stars, visible to everyone.
Screen time is your shared agreement as a family: how many minutes each child has per day, how much has already been used and when there is a break. Everyone sees the same thing – the children too. Hüsli doesn't lock any devices. Apple's Screen Time and Google's Family Link can do that.
Switch it on
- Tap your profile picture top right and open Settings › Add-ons.
- Under More, find the Screen time add-on.
- Turn it on with the switch.
- Open More › Screen time.
How it works
- Tap Agreement at the top and enter Per day (min) for each child, and At the weekend (min) if you like. Tap Save.
- If Noah has watched TV or played, tap +15, +30 or +60 on his card – or Other for your own number. A note such as “TV with Dad” is optional.
- Tapped the wrong thing? The day's last entry has Undo.
- For a break, tap Break, choose Today, 2 days, 3 days, 7 days or Until a date and write a Reason. Tap Start break.
- At the bottom of each card you see This week with one bar per day.
Settings
- Per day (min): if you don't enter anything, 60 minutes per day apply.
- At the weekend (min): applies on Saturday and Sunday; empty means “same as weekdays”.
- Children may log it themselves: children log their minutes on their own device, only for themselves.
- Extra minutes with stars: children get 15 more minutes for the number of stars you set (default 5).
Good to know
- The child also sees the reason for a break. You can end any break early with End break.
- Children see their own card on Today and on their day page; the wall tablet shows who has already had screen time or has a break. You parents only see a child on Today from 80 % or during a break.
- When a budget is used up, the parents get a notification. You turn the topic Screen time used up on or off under Settings › Notifications.
- The week's minutes also appear in the Weekly look back.
- Screen time is part of Pro (free during the beta).
