Plane spotter

Which plane is that? What's landing and taking off at Zurich Airport right now – live on the radar.

The plane spotter shows live what lands and takes off at Zurich Airport: on a radar with the runways, with the next landing and the plane flying over you right now.

Switch it on

  1. Tap your profile picture top right and open Settings › Add-ons.
  2. Turn on the switch next to Plane spotter.

How it works

  1. Open More › Plane spotter.
  2. On the radar, landing planes are blue, departing planes green and all others grey. Zoom with Near, Medium and Far.
  3. Next to it you see Next landing and Just took off, and which runways are in use right now.
  4. Tap a plane: you see the airline, aircraft type, altitude, speed and where it comes from or where it is going.
  5. Choose top right where you are watching from: Home, My location (GPS) or a saved spot.
  6. With Save here as a spot you save a favourite place, with Home = here your home.

Good to know

  • Pro (free during the beta). The plane spotter is only available for families in the Zurich Airport area (about 70 km).
  • When a plane flies very close by, Hüsli shows “Right above you!” or which direction to look in.
  • With the runway buttons (10, 14, 16, 28, 32, 34) you see only what happens on one runway.
  • On Today, the Airport now card shows the next landings.
  • Hüsli only needs your GPS location when you choose My location (GPS) or save a spot. Only your spots are saved.
